Located in north west Florida along I-10, Altha is a charming farming community within a half hour of both Alabama and Georgia. It is a place to look at for good old-fashioned southern living (chicken anyone?). Agriculture is the mainstay here, so the ape with a green thumb comes here for the opportunity to really get in touch with Nature. Being slightly north to be called tropical, the average winter weather here still makes it unlikely that northern transplants will ever see anything more than a light frost.
