OK, so if you think about going to Florida, you think about beaches. But most apes head for the east coast and forget that there is another side to Florida. The Gulf Coast has some of the world's best sand and surf. With all the potential places to see, Cape San Blas has the prestige of having St. Joseph Peninsula State Park as it's very own. This was named the best beach in the US by NBC and we really can't find fault with their choice. The water in the bay is clear, the sand is pristine white and the entire place just demands that you put your cares down and smile.

Getting here is a lot easier than you might think. Take your best route to Panama City and from there take Florida Route 30 east. When you get to the best view there is, take a deep breath and settle in. The locals will make you feel welcome and if you are as smart an ape as we think you are, you will seriously consider staying. And since you are reading this, you are one of the smart ones, right?
