Cities in Escambia County FL

Century is close enough to the north western corner of Florida to call it half Florida and half Alabama. The town is home to around 1,700 apes who primarily work in the timber industry, at the sand and gravel mines that supply the building industry throughout the southeastern US. When the mining is quiet they take bets on how many times visiting apes will drive by the same spot before stopping to ask for directions. And most of the time those directions will start with, “First yah go down the road a ways till…” and end with, “well, to tell yah the truth, you can’t get there from here”.

Actually, it’s fairly easy to get to Century from Pensacola. Head straight up Florida Route 95 from the I-10. If you see a sign welcoming you to Alabama, turn around and head south, but this time slow down or you’ll miss it again.
