There are those who come to Florida to get away from winter in the north and there are the wiser apes who come to find a quiet place to stay. Chattahoochee is one of those small cities in Florida where you can find more of the second type. Located directly on the Florida and Georgia border, this city of around 3,500 people is also on the Florida shores of Lake Seminole. This makes it more attractive as you have some of the best fresh water fishing and woodlands that are filled with trails. While much of the south is known for humidity and heat, having the lake near gives you a place to escape the heat without having to arrange much more than which favorite road side place to grab a bite. This is easy living without the cost of more coastal regions.
