OK, so it’s not really an island, but we don’t think the apes here got the memo. With the number of boats and water related activates along Doctor’s Lake to the west and the Saint John’s River to the east, you’d think that you were completely surrounded by water.
Only 40 minutes from Jacksonville International Airport and 30 minutes to the beaches along Florida’s east coast, you can drive or boat to where the fun is and still be within easy reach of a place to put up your feet and call it a day.
