Cities in Dixie County FL

By all accounts, Horseshoe Beach is a vacation town. That means that most folk live here because they are either working for one of the fishing boats that caters to apes on fishing vacations, or they are the smarter ones who came down for a permanent vacation called “retirement in the Florida sun”. Either way, it’s a great place to look at for a winter get away, or a full time get away.

The best ways to get here are either from Tampa in the south along I-75 or be smarter and head into Gainsville to the east and make it a 1 hour drive instead a three hour “are we there yet”. Either way you get there, bring the cooler, a tall drink, and take a break like the smarter 206 apes that live here do.
