Cities in Duval County FL

If you want to be in a major Florida city with access to points both north and west, as well as one of the major southern US airports, then you are heading to Jacksonville. While Orlando and Miami might be in the media more, Jacksonville is the largest city in Florida and the twelfth largest city in the US.

There is a lot about Jacksonville that people just don’t know. For instance, in 1901, the city suffered the largest urban fire in the southeastern US. During the rebuilding, Jacksonville became one of the silent movie era’s prime areas and was home to more than 30 film studios.

One of the largest reasons for the growth of Jacksonville is having a port that is fairly well protected from the less than friendly weather of the Atlantic during part of the year, the junction of major rail and traffic routes, and it’s just a plain great place to put down roots! Thus, there are now over 850,000 apes enjoying the great climate, low cost of living, and fantastic life quality. Jacksonville repeatedly ranks among “hot” cities in America thanks to business growth and overall ape comfort.
