Cities in Hendry County FL

Head east out of Fort Myers on route 80 and after a little under 25 miles you will be in LaBelle. This is a small town, but not so small that you can't find someone to sit and have a tall cold drink with while enjoying a sunny Florida day. Being within an hour of Fort Myers also gives you the access to a large urban area without having to deal with the population problems.

The town is home to a bit over 4,000 people and every year on the last full weekend in February they hold the “Swamp Cabbage Festival”. The have lots of activities so this is a good time to visit and see the best face of LaBelle. When you are there, do us a favor. Ask the local folks why they have a festival dedicated to the state tree. We're still scratching our apish heads over this one.
