Cities in Clay County FL

Picture this, a quiet lake in the center of Florida’s wetlands where an ape can have a pleasant day of fishing and relaxing. It is more than your imagination. This is Lake Geneva.

Once home to the Native American Timucuan tribe and explored by naturalist William Bartram, Lake Geneva used to bear the name Harney Cove.

With Jacksonville 90 minutes to the north east and Gainesville half that to the south west, you can get to Lake Geneva through the airport of either city. We’re pretty sure this rural area, with numerous state parks and nature preserves surrounding it, and it’s 2,400 residents will make you feel right at home. Come on down and set for a spell!

Don’t forget your fishing gear. That way you can at least look like you did something other than spend the day sleeping in the shade of a handsome tree.
