Cities in Highlands County FL
Lakes surround this town. It’s almost like a fresh water Venice to tell the truth. And the 2,000 people who live there are also proud of the title “Caladium Capital of the World”. At first we thought caladium was some sort of weird science fiction isotope that gave you super powers, but it turns out that it’s actually a very pretty type of flower. Not as much fun as the super power thing, but no one wants to see an ape in tights with his underwear on the outside, so we’ll be content with the flowers.
This town is centrally located in Florida, with Orlando and Tampa both an hour and a half in opposite directions. With the local scenery and all that fishing to do, we seriously don’t see the need to go to over crowded tourist infected areas, but if you want to ditch the relatives when they “drop in”, there are worse places to leave them.
