Cities in Gadsden County FL
So the story is that when the town was founded, it was the meeting place for politicians who were trying to figure out where to put the state capital. It was between Saint Augustine and Tallahassee, and this was the mid point between the two cities, hence the name. Well, that’s the story even if no one really has any hard evidence to back it up. But there is more than a name to the town located 20 minutes west of the state capital. By the way, if you hadn’t heard, they choose Tallahassee. We think it was because someone thought having two words to learn to spell would be harder than “Tallahassee”.
This town does something right. They make it easy to build, either homes or businesses. The local council seems to believe that if you make it easy to start a business without burying the prospective owner in paperwork, they will invest in the area. Sounds like a right smart bunch of apes to us. Stop by and see what you can work out. We’ll be in the capital down the road trying to fix a spelling bee. Do you have something to add about this City?
