Cities in Charlotte County FL
As one of the key point of the Port Charlotte area, Murdock is not only uniquely situated, but unique in design. With extensive canals and water ways, the water ape can count on easy access to the facilities of Port Charlotte and the Gulf Coast. If water skiing, fishing, recreational boating or commercial uses are your thing, bring your hairy ape thing here!
And least you think that Murdock is all water and sea, think again. The Port Charlotte Town Center is actually located in Murdock proper and features shopping and all the amenities you’ll need. This is no sleepy little Florida town -- it is a vibrant place to live and work, or (better yet) retire! Murdock was listed in U.S. News & World Report as one of “America’s Best Healthy Places to Retire”!
You can get there either from Fort Myers Airport to the south, or come down from the Tampa/Saint Petersburg area to the north. Either way, the drive is straight along I-75.
