Cities in Duval County FL
Back in 1931 there was a revolt in Florida. OK, so at that point it was the 144 resident apes of Neptune Beach voting to secede from the city of Jacksonville. They wanted to have more control over their own municipal taxes, but it was still a revolt and it was a successful one! Since then Neptune Beach has grown into a town of 7,500 beach loving apes, many of whom enjoy their retirement years in the warm summers of this northern Florida beach community.
Situated between Atlantic Beach and Jacksonville Beach, this small town within a city is 25 minutes due east of downtown Jacksonville. The locals take a very active role in the local politics, keeping an eye on what their elected apes do with their allotment of bananas. Smart folks. Live within walking distance of the beach and your local representatives so you can tell them what you want in person! Do you have something to add about this City?
