Ochopee Florida is a tiny spot on Florida’s map that is actually famous. It is where (brace yourselves, this is pretty exciting news! Ready?) you will find the Smallest Post Office in the United States. It is staffed by a very nice lady named Shannon Mitchell and the entire building is 7’ by 8’ and was originally a pipe shed for a nearby tomato farm. How’s that for cool?
Other than the post office, there isn’t much here, but it is on the route to the Everglades National Park, so if you are nearby, stop in and say hello to Shannon.
