Cities in Clay County FL

Bet you didn’t think there really were apes in Florida, right? Well, there were. Orange Park was the original home to Yerkes National Primate Research Center, now based in Atlanta. Personally, we think that Orange Park is a fine place for apes of a sort. As with so many other growing areas in Florida, one of the key areas of employment here is the construction industry.

Today, the city is considered a suburb of Jacksonville, which is only 30 minutes north. You can find easy access to work and recreation here, either in Jacksonville or right on Saint Johns River, which borders the city’s east side. There are over 10,000 other hairy apes here that agree that Orange Park is a good place to be.
