Cities in Escambia County FL
Alright, this is one of Florida’s biggest cities, the oldest place settled by Europeans and one of the most important ports in the US. The city shows a mixture of cultures thanks to its history. First it was settled by the Spanish, then the English, then France had a turn, with the Spanish returning and then the place was bought by the Americans! If you think the United Nations started in New York City, we at BHA think they got the idea from Pensacola!
Now, once you are there, what is there to do? What isn’t there to do is a better question. The only goings-on that they haven’t figured out how to integrate are winter activities associated with snow. But they’ve got a great head start with water skiing.
Pensacola is considered the birthplace if US Navy Aeronautics. In fact, the world renown Blue Angles call it home! If seeing the amazing talent for flying complex formations these pilots do doesn’t drop your big old ape jaw to the ground, it’s because it’s wired closed.
Commerce is alive and well in Pensacola. With some of the best ports along the Gulf Coast, there is always activity along the shore. And not all of it is business. The beaches of Gulf Breeze are some of the finest you could hope to find. These beaches are best reached along a modern marvel of engineering, the Pensacola Bay Bridge. The bridge itself is worth the trip as it spans almost three miles of sea!
With business, sports of all kinds, the leisure activities of the Gulf waters at your doorstep, what ape wouldn’t look at Pensacola as a place to be? Do you have something to add about this City?
