Cities in Holmes County FL
Every so often you come across a place that not everyone has heard of, but once you discover it, you go back time after time. The town of Ponce De Leon will be one of those places in the panhandle of Florida. Located directly on I-10 almost midway between Tallahassee and Pensacola, this small town counts 2,000 people as residents. They may not have a traffic light, but they do have some amazing things to offer.
The fresh water springs that dot the surroundings are large enough to dive in. We’re not talking splash around; we’re talking scuba and skin diving. The state park is named Ponce De Leon Springs and legend has it that the famed explorer thought that he had finally found the fountain of youth here. Of course, we think the place is just a really great town to consider settling in, but there are a lot of unwrinkled apes around, which does seem kind of odd for Florida.
