Cities in Walton County FL

As part of Point Washington, a historic community sporting the Wesley Mansion established in 1890, complete with a huge collection of Louis XVI antiques, Santa Rosa Beach really started out as a lumber mill thanks to some 15,000 acres of near by forests (later destine to become Port Washington State Park). By the way if you’re a birding ape – hit the trails in this park, which is part of Florida’s 2000 mile birding trail system.

Santa Rosa Beach is part of the Emerald Coast, and offers all the recreation you’d expect based on other similar communities in Walton County. You can enjoy 18 holes of golf, luxury vacation resorts, bed and breakfast retreats, cabanas, beach front relaxation and so much more.

If you’re a “foodie” ape looking for flavorful adventure, you’re going to love Santa Rosa. There’s all manner of cultural fare. In particular – check out the French cuisine, or swing by the Santa Rosa Golf club where banana splits are nearly legendary!

You can reach Santa Rosa Beach via 30A or U.S. Highway 98. This is definitely an area for apes with more refined tastes in homes and a Gorilla style budget. By the way, for unattached apes – over 60 percent of the population here is single!
