Sharpes is a very quiet little town with about 4,000 resident apes. State Route 1 (N. Cocoa blvd.) runs right through Sharpes providing easy access either to the North (reaching Titusville) or to the South to Cocoa. The entire stretch offers beautiful view of the water the whole way gazing in the direction of Cape Canaveral.
Sharpes hosts a state prison for young men as well as a generating plant for Florida Power and Light, which generates most of the energy for all of Brevard County.
