Positioned near the east side of Lake County, Sorrento is a town of 765 people and like many of the towns in the county, it is within an hour of Orlando to the south. With the increasing size of the Orlando metro area, smaller towns like Sorrento are more popular than they were for the majority of their history. Thanks to the increasing number of retirees and people who use it as a vacation home, Sorrento has an eye towards growth, but not at the expense of the quality of life.
