Cities in Escambia County FL

UWF does not stand for “United Wrestling Federation”. This is the University of Western Florida, one of the best places to be if you are a young ape with your mind set on a degree in Engineering or the humanities. Why an ape would want to study humans is a mystery to us, but then again, so are a lot of things. The school has been going strong since it classes started in 1967 and while considered smaller than most (with around 12,000 students), it is near the top 50 in the US.

Along with it’s academics, the school has a major draw. The various buildings and campus facilities are all within easy driving distance of the amazing beaches throughout Pensacola! If you can’t reach your college bound ape at school, call the beach. All kinds of studies can be done near the waves. The depth and condition of the water, the ambient heat of the sand, the height and frequency of the best surf and the amount of sunscreen needed to cover a bikini-clad body are all perfectly valid fields of study to the properly apish mind.

Housing is available through the school, but there are often great homes and apartments locally which give more privacy than dorm life.
