Cities in Calhoun County FL
If we told you there is gold in Florida, most people would think that some ape had hit us in the head with a coconut. But in Wewahitchka, there is gold. It just happens to be in jars of honey. The town is one of Florida’s largest beekeeping and honey producers. You could do a lot worse if you have a sweet tooth.
The 1,700 local residents are just to the west of the Apalachicola River, which is exactly where they take great care of their honey-producing bees. They have developed a unique system of floating bee boxes on rafts to make sure that the bees get the first bloom of tupelo (a.k.a. Pepperidge trees), which makes their honey unique.
So if you are looking to invest, visit or move, this is a great place for apes that think they are bears. Just don’t tell Yogi or you’ll never hear the end of it.
