Located inland, Columbia County starts at the Florida – Georgia border and runs south. Most of its 801 square miles is land, with lakes making up around 7 square miles. This is farming and residential community for the most part and well worth the time to take a look. Not all of Florida is beach front, and the folks here are glad of it when the storm season hits. If you want the Florida sun with less of the Florida tropical storms making you wonder when the sea will make up it’s mind as to where exactly it wants to be, then you might want to look at Columbia County.
