Central Florida, north. That pretty well tells you where Hamilton County is. What's there is two of Florida's best rivers, the intersection of I-75 and I-10, so access to routes all over the country are at arm's reach. You also have Georgia directly north with all of the resources that entails. This is primarily a rural county and far enough from the coastal regions to give protection from the hurricanes that make other areas of the south expensive to live in.

A smart ape would set up a depot here of building supplies and sit back drinking a cold one every time the Atlantic decides to redecorate the rest of the south.
